The eyes of an observer

by charmed   Jul 3, 2005

I look around life
I become a mere observer
Of peoples laughs n cries
And their absurd behavior
For I fail to understand
How many of us understand
How many of us feel
How many of us just live for ourselves
And not for those who observe us
When I walk out
I see people clothed yet naked
Naked of life, naked of love
Naked of feelings and naked of all that the heart could provide
Full of contempt we manage those smiles
How in our minds we wish all could cease
I see those who get up everyday
And put on a face to get through the day
To get through each and every day
Their lives become merely a put on
And many like me become the observers
We casually continue to move on this way
We accept it in some contemptuous way
