The fountain of love!

by Kane Burden   Jul 4, 2005

We lasted longer then expectations
humiliating the bullying flock
Proving to them our love was true
and could last longer than a month.

We were so madly i love
we thought we knew it all
But the story of our relationship
is one of a "rise and fall"

Our love used to be like a fountain
standing tall and proud
Projecting a spectacle
to the glaring crowd

But now our love just seems to fall
from the gleaming snout above

Our love is no longer an inspiration to all
but an unexpected event of bad luck.

You are such a romantic!;) Well written, as usual, however dont know if i quite agree with the ending. Our relationships are all worthwhile, even though that person may not be the 'one' they teach us lessons that we can carry with us and grow from in order to prepare for the perfect one. That may sound kind of 'playerish' but really it's true, if all our relationships worked out, then we'd never meet the single most important person in our lives. :) Good write again.

Great write! It's always great to prove others wrong, but it's heart breaking when, in doing so, it's not at all what you expected it to be!
