You Saved Me

I was alone in a world all by myself
It seemed as if no one ever cared
I was suffering from past relationships
I had so many burdens to bare
They beaten, maimed, bruised and destroyed,
what was left of my tattered broken heart
Played WITH it
Stumped ON it
And intentionally tore it apart

Life meant nothing to me
in fact...................
I just wanted to throw it away
Just jump overboard a reckless ship
and have my body washed up on a destitute bay

I gave up all hope in love
I thought............"no one was out there for me"
Probably living in a world all by myself was my destiny

And then one day you came along
and turned my life around
You helped me picked up broken pieces from my heart, that were on the ground

For coming and rescuing me
Because if it wasn't for you.
I'd still be lost
