Little Girl

She hides in her room
Holding onto a pillow
As her parents decide her fate
She wonders if it's worth the wait...

Mommy, do you love her?
Rock her to sleep every night?
Daddy, do you love her?
Protect her from the demons that haunt her life?

She hides in her bed
Holding onto her teddy
As her parents argue downstairs
She's not sure she's ready...

Mommy, do you regret it?
Regret the day you gave her life?
Daddy, do you regret it?
Regret the day you took a wife?

She hides in the bathroom
Holding a razor in her hand
As her parents give their jurisdiction
She's already sunk into the sand...

Mommy, did you love me?
Rock me to sleep every night?
Daddy, did you love me?
Protect me from the demons that haunted my life?
