Not Getting Through

Today I looked at your picture,
and i couldn't bare the sight,
not like you are ugly,
but that was the day of our first fight,

I went over to meet your parents,
they were very sweet,
your mom is just so nice,
for you her alone could of swept me off my feet,

It was such a perfect day,
how could that all go wrong,
we talked as you drove me home,
and on the radio we heard our song,

When we pulled into the drive way,
you smiled just so sweetly,
then i invited you inside,
my parents were not home and i was yearning for you deeply,

As we walked into the room,
yes our blood was flowing,
I just felt so much passion and lust,
regret was not such a feeling,

suddenly the phone rang,
and you picked up the phone,
then to my surprise you started yelling,
oh my god it was my ex i should of known,

You just kept on shouting,
at him and at me,
I told him it was over,
but thats not how he wanted it to be,

I knew he would probably call,
yesterday he called too,
don't get off the couch,
I was going to tell you,

Please don't turn away,
there is just so much i have to tell you,
hang up the phone,
forgetting is what you should do,

Why are you walking out the door,
whatever should I do,
I am trying to keep you here with me,
so many things i am thinking and you haven't got a clue,

Please don't turn your back at me,
please don't start the car,
all the times are gone away,
and now your heart is just so very far,

I'm sorry i didn't tell about him calling yesterday,
now i am saying that i am so sorry,
so please forgive me now,
I never have cheated on you,
if that is possible for our love then please tell me how,
you just need to know how much that i love you.
