The beat of the butterflys wings

The beat of
the butterflys wings
makes me shudder
just to think

for it so resembles
the beating of my heart
where theres no end
and theres no start

these fluttering feelings
keep gushing from my mind
for all feelings of hurt
is what u will find

for just as a butterfly
is hit by a car
my heart was trampled;
beat with a crowbar

i say a crowbar
because this boy was a thief
my soul he stabbed
when his sword he unsheathed

just as a butterfly
cripples and dies
tears are flowing
like a river from my eyes

revenge of coarse
was first on my mind
for a wind was blowing
of a strange kind

my anger was cast
as i watched in wonder
as i watched this
my heart beat like thunder

the butterfly rose up
still it no longer lay
washed with amazement
i wisper and say

i may not forgive you
but i will not grieve
for if a butterfly can do it
why shouldn't i leave?

i will be brave
not one more tear shall be shed
i will find someone new
for to me your dead

with only that
as my last thought
i watched the butterfly flutter
and knew the war had been fought.
