Heroic fears

by FlowerThatDied   Jul 6, 2005

Screaming calls you do not run,
Bruises, cuts his work isn't done,
Still you stand there,
Not trying to save,
The girl with a life you crave,

Hear the knife stabbed into her side,
You wonder if she might've died,
You were meant to be her hero,
But you turned out to be worth zero,

Look her in the eyes and tell her,
"I'm the reason your going to die,"
Look her in the eyes and say,
"I could have saved you today." You didn't,
Hero, do you have the courage to,
Tell the girl what the man did could have been stopped by you,
Hero, show your small strength,
Tell the girl you could've gone that length,

She'll only say,
Little hero don't you cry,
You not the one who's going to die,
Little hero you didn't have the strength to fight,
So you stayed out of sight,
That's not your fault I'd do the same,
Everyone is a hero, Everyone has a limit, Everyone has a fear.

So true. I love the poem. There's a few grammatical errors, but other than that it's written beautifully. Wow. I really love it. It's all stated there in the poem...great!
