To my secret...

by Kaylyn Holaday   Jul 7, 2005

I've often daydreamed of you.
I picture us living together, too.
I can read your heart just like your eyes.
I can see how you feel inside, no lies.
I've thought about sharing your last name.
I've dreamed of a wedding gown, spectacular, but plain.
You're standing there in a suit of black,
my brother walks me down the isle, for a father I lack.
Your blue eyes gaze at me and my dress of white.
I pray, that for my sake, I read you right.
But we're nowhere near there
nor need to dream there.
I ask, if I have a chance
at sharing an embracing dance.
Right now I read your eyes of blue,
they tell me you're unsure, true?
I sit here, alone in hiding.
Afraid of rejection, my heart abiding,
but I had to say it, I had to tell you.
I hope that this day anew..
will prove to be worth everything I did.
`cause I laid everything down, my heart to bid.
So please tell me now if it was worth my while,
if yes, just smile.. if no, frown
and look at the ground.
if you frown, the answer is no..
I shall flee forever from sight, I'll go.
If I spy a smile upon your face,
I'll show myself, and we'll embrace.
A hug shows love in many ways
it's "hi", or "I've liked you for many days"
so give me an answer, I need to know..
now, smile, frown, look down?
I need your answer today,
Shall I Stay, or Run Away?
