A Prayer For You

by Stephanie Ricks   Jul 7, 2005

A wise woman once said,
Son change your ways.
Or life will only bring you pain,
Tomorrow and all of your days.

Rid your life of the hate,
Open your heart to love.
Bitterness nor sorrow,
Will never be enough.

Your Daughter needs you,
And that just cant wait.
life is passing by,
And you don't want to be late.

These words came from your Grandmother,
Before she passed away.
In her last moments,
As she asked us to bow our heads and pray.

I wrote this poem for a close friend.
He has yet to change but,I thought it would be nice to write this for his Grandmother.

I love it and I think it was an awesome thing to write....Trying to help a friend in such a way is honorable but he'll get on the right track when he's ready. It's hard but you can't change someone just like that. Give it time...he'll see…

I thought it was well put together and beautifully written although I thought you could have elaborated a little more about Grandma and what she wanted to pray for before she died but at any rate it was good.

I have just one question though…should ever be Never in
    Bitterness nor sorrow,
    Will ever be enough.

    Nicely done! Take Care! 
