Empty Tears

by Ms Joanna Dark   Jul 7, 2005

Though the tears you see,
Seem real to you,
I have to admit,
They're far from true.

They fall from my eyes,
For no reason at all.
I can't even explain,
Why it is that they fall.

My tears are all hollow,
Each filled with plain air.
I try to erase them,
Before you see and stare.

I used to cry rivers,
My tears were pure and true.
But something inside changed,
Now you see the tears falling before you.

I'm trying to explain,
What I really don't know.
I can't help the fact,
That these empty tears show.
