Maybe you'll love me

by Sophie   Jul 8, 2005

Thinking back on memories,
My pillow damp with tears,
I've dried my eyes a thousand times,
And you're still not here.

I apologize and beg and plead,
Crying for you to stay,
But my attempts are hopeless,
You're hearts already been led astray.

My heart aches every second,
I can hear your voice in my head,
Each minute holds a hundred days,
When I'm alone at night in bed.

I found a poem you wrote her,
My heart broke for the final time,
When you said that she was beautiful,
I knew you were no longer mine.

I changed all of my morals,
I forgot so many dreams,
I wanted to give you everything,
You wanted to hurt me, or so it seems.

I can't stop myself from loving you,
Or from pretending you're still here,
You tell me to forget and hate,
But I will always hold you close and dear.

I think one day I'll search for you,
Expecting to be turned away,
But maybe theres still a ray of hope,
Maybe you'll love me again one day.
