Today the sun rose
Even though I couldn't see it
It was there

Today I breathed
TODAY and TOMORROW

Even though I didn't think about it
I did

Today my heart bated
Even though I couldn't feel it
It never stopped

Tonight the moon and stars will appear
I may not notice
But they will still shine

On the days I don't notice the sun
I pray
It will still be there for tomorrow

And when I forget to live each breath
I hope with everything I am
I can breath tomorrow

When my heart beats and I wish it would stop
I pray for forgiveness for taking that for granted
I want, I need my heart

And when I don't treasure the stars
I ask
To be lifted up into them.
