Blackened Hearts

by Weeping Wolf   Jul 8, 2005

They saw us sitting on the steps crying
happiness wasn't what we were thinking
People stopped and stared and then turned away
When they past us by i heard them say
"Blackened hearts will never change"

Blackened hearts you think we have?
Well at least our hearts aren't cut into halves
blackened hearts have hatred and pain
But they have nothing more than poisoned hearts
Don't use your cruel words to hit us like darts
Poisoned hearts that try to feed us a disease.
yet a black heart's sorrow never seems to cease.

We'll just get up and walk away from your glares
I can still kill you with a penetrating stare
Never say "Blackened hearts will never change"
Or else you'll be the one living in shame.

Ya, when they say "blackened hearts will never change"
just get up and walk away...
