Wolf's Story

by Weeping Wolf   Jul 9, 2005

My body has 2 legs
My soul has 4
I stand up rite
But i wanna stalk low
My eyes look human
But they can see in the dark
My nose can smell
But can also track scents
Am i a dog? No
One difference: howl!

I will never be quite human
I will never truly fit in
Wish there were more like me
For sadly, i am alone
Wolf's Tears i cry
As i tell myself the wolf's story

We once all ran free in this paradise
Sweet surrender to the trees n wind
Coats of camouflage, could never be caught
Cared of war, weapons, and humans not.
Then one dreaded day came
When we all almost perished
Lost it all to the 2 leggers
And all the filth and guilt they live in.
They came with sticks of fire and burning stones
We were taken by surprise n never have known
That such beasts could destroy us one cursed day.

Now i stand here alone looking on the edge
I got nothing to loose expect my memories
My regrets of living still sit inside me
Ashamed to still be breathing while others lie dead
I am the last of the wolves, but shall make a stand
Must bring some way to let them come back to paradise
I will find a way...the last wolf...stray...

Listen to the wolf's story
See the wolfs tears i cry
Watch the wolf rain fall down
Upon charred and dead paradise
See the blood cover the ground
Where once green grass had been.
Hear my wolf's story...
And remember the last stray left
One mournful howl shall always fill the sky.
