Can't sleep tonight

Tossing and turning
Thoughts of you in my head
Tired and warn out
But can't seem to get to bed

Blankets off the bed
Pillows on the floor
This long sleepless night
I can't take it anymore

I try my hardest
I close my eyes
But thoughts of you
Always seem to rise

The thought of how your kiss
Sent a shiver down my spine
With just a simple touch
It all slowed down time

The thought of the words "i love you"
Gently whispered in my ear
Please don't whisper,say it louder
So everyone can hear

But now these things are over
Your gone, you left, goodbye
So now I'm stuck sitting here
And all i do is cry

I wish you knew these feelings
Thoughts running through my head
With you i felt i was wanted
And now that feelings dead

Now my hearts in pieces
With you it felt as one
But those feelings i had are over
And as for this poem, its done

So now i try real hard
I close my eyes real tight
And as i start to fall asleep
i softly whisper..."goodnight"...
