Summer Kisses

by Ebony Ithuriel   Jul 9, 2005

Across the room they locked in a gaze,
He was all for summer games.
Sadly for him she was not,
Now her fermented corpse has begun to rot.

Crying in that corner is where she’d stay
Her happiness drained away
His words hurt her like a knife to her heart
And she’d only smile when they were apart

She’d sit lost in a hopeful dream
Ignoring how reality can be so mean
Scared to death; she’d scream and yell
Forced to live this life which was her hell

All her tears fell to the floor
As she sat, wanting to live no more
Now and forever, she'll have no place to go
Broken to pieces, her heart sank low

He ignored her every day,
Till she saw no other way.
Her first love fantasy had become her worst fear
So she chose to end her life right here.

All those summer kisses down the drain,
Her love was more intense than her pain.
The summer was a great start,
But then he went and broke her heart.
