Daddy died

We were here all together
Living our lives like we thought we would forever
The phone rings, I answer it
I drop the phone and start to cry
Why did you go just tell me why
I thought you always be here
Now my life would be full of fear
Little sister yells “my daddy is dead”
On the news it says he shot himself in the head
Why would daddy do that to us
He left us here to fuss
We’re no longer a family anymore
My dad committed suicide in 2004
God tell me why
Did he leave me here to cry
He said he would always be by my side
But I guess he lied
Why make promises you cant keep
You broke them and now I weep
You were my dad, age of 34
So sad to say not anymore
