Trumpet

by zac   Jul 11, 2005

When we were young
life was so fun
we stayed out late
doing what we knew
our parents would hate.
you played a trumpet
I marched.

when we graduated
life got so complicated,
i went to the military
you went to a university.
you still played,
I still marched,
just not to yours.
