That Girl (true story)

by Taryn   Jul 11, 2005

That girl smiles
and pretends she is okay,
but that girl
doesn't want to live through the day.
she has been hurt
and even felt abused,
see what can happen
when you get used?
that girl loved that boy
with all of her heart,
but all he did was just
tear it all apart.
that girl wants to be someone else
just to forget her pain,
she wants to be that innocent girl
that she used to be again.
that girl gave up her time
to make sure he was okay,
she would be by his side
each and every day.
but that boy had another life
that he had to live,
he had his girlfriend at home
and together they have a kid.
even though she knew
she kept seeing him anyway,
she didn't want to loose him
or give him away.
she would have done anything for him
no matter what it cost,
but in the end it didn't matter
because in the end she lost.
he turned into a prick
and told her not to call,
he knew how much she loved him
but didn't care at all.
he got rid of her from his life
as fast as he could,
she couldn't hate him
even though she knew she should.
that girl still loved him
with all of her heart,
even though she knew he'd break it
right from the start.
That girl misses him still
and wants to hold him tight,
she still sits outside
hoping he'll turn up each night.
she just wants to see him
so she can try to explain,
that she loves him so much
and wants to be in his life again.
they both know that he is the one
that is in the wrong again,
but she would do anything
to be with him and stop this pain.
this is not the way that girl
wanted her life to be,
and i know the story well
because that girl is me!

*~This poem is written about a guy that i used to be really close to and i loved him with all my heart, unfortunately for me, he made alot of promises to me that he never came through on. He is still with his girlfriend, happy i guess, they have a beautiful baby boy together, i haven't spoken to him in a long time and i doubt i ever will again but i still love him and miss him with all of my heart!~*
Love you Chris!
