Mr. Pitcher

by little girl all alone   Jul 11, 2005

There you are here i am
playing like i cant give a damn

im in my boots with my cowgirl hat
missed the ball went right past the bat

they call one they call two
i hold my breath til i turn blue

he throws the ball this might be three
but i hit that ball right passed the tree

it's gone you hold your head in shame
stupid pitcher you sure are lame

never judge me by what i wear
even in a skirt i'll beat you without a care

you dont even know me
and you're too blind to see

you make me laugh with your words everyday
shut up cuz you aint got nothing else to say

you lost the game once again
hopefully this will be the end

you race home screaming out loud
my friends all cheer cuz they are proud

hey mr. pitcher don't you get it
even if you win i'll never through a fit

i don't keep my pain inside
niether is it on the outside

you'll never turn my smile to a frown
nothing can hurt me enough to bring me down

everyday is a brand new smile
gosh i act just like a child

you might think i hide behind my clothes
but im really just as innocent as a rose

what they say bout words hurting isnt a lie
nothing you say makes me wanna cry

mr. pitcher go away
come back another day

i won't do this anymore
and plz don't think you're gunna score

this is one game you can never win
cuz you're as dull as a badly used pin

i'll never say i hate you
cuz that's so not true

all i really need
is to do things at my own speed
