Letting Go

Almost 5 years
we've known each other
not a day goes by
that i don't wonder

what if i had told you how i felt
that very first day we met
would we have been together or would you just try to forget

I've tried to talk myself
into getting over you
but actions speak louder than words
so here's what i'll do

i promise not to laugh or cry
whenever you're around
and i promise to live and die
you will never hear a sound

people say the biggest myth
is love at first sight
that you can only fall in love
over a period of time

well I'm here to say that's not a myth
because I've fallen in and out of love
but the only guy that was really there
is the one I'm letting go of
