Temptation

Darkness surrounds me
Terror I know
I hear it screaming
Its calling me home

It slips past my moms room
And under my door
I close my eyes
And it is gone once more

But to open my eyes
And see it sitting, waiting
I run to my mom’s room
Past the black gating

It runs and it falls
Falls to the floor
I am safe here, for now
Behind my mom’s door

When I open my eyes
It was all just a dream
the darkness is all around
And I hear a scream
