Bruises

by Weeping Wolf   Jul 13, 2005

Cover your body with the clothes you think you wear
Clothes that cover your bruises of your soul
I am weary of the sounds of the upcoming
Footsteps pounding the floor with anger
They come closer with every second that passes
As they come, your heart beats faster- with fear
Door bangs loudly, shouting erupts
Voices screaming threats, punishments of sin
World slips away as your strength gives in

Then before you even know it- pain explodes
You can’t react, you can’t run, its too late
Your trapped in the agony of you mind
Hell has condemned you to such horrid fate
Hitting continuous…will it ever end?
You’re bleeding internally and out
Soon you’ll have enough to paint the walls
Though it looks like your outside skin never bleeds
You plea to god please make it stop
But u must hold strong or else fade fast
No matter how much u fight scream n shout
The pounding only elevates not fade away
Loose consciousness n slip away, let it end
It’s the only way out of this treacherous misery

You know you have done nothing wrong
But they still say, “its what you deserve”
Sticks, belts, whips, chains, words
The weapons of true horrific pain
And what have you gained out of this?
Not a lesson, not discipline, only fear
As well as bruises.

You can’t tell someone, you can’t hide
Or else it will be worse the next time
You call it discipline, I call it abuse
because all you get out of it are bruises
