That school Night

by Cassie   Jul 13, 2005

You have told us many times
you wanted to go to school.
the wish came true to you,
and every night I would wait up.

But this one particular night I waited
was also like a nightmare I once had.
I heard your buggy coming in the drive.
I guess he was really mad.

When you walked inside,
accidentally bumped a chair
he started yelling at you
like something bad had happened.

I couldn't do anything
but sit in my bunk
wait for him to stop yelling.

The tears coming down your cheeks
were made by him.
And now I feel them on my face.

I can't believe he's yelling at her like this,
the only thing you commited...
was marring him.

The yelling slows down
so I thought they were done
but now I hear mom saying,
"I'm a bad mother"

all of a sudden he's Mr.Nice guy
convencing her she's not.
I've always hated him
because he only mentally abused us.

Now were out of sight,
My mom is on pills,
and I'm all cut up.

I will never forget that night
you came home from school
and got abused...mentally.

****this is true one night i waited my mom and step dad got into a big fight because she bumped into a chair, she is on pills(antidepressants) and I am all cut up****
