Everything ends

by jaki   Jul 14, 2005

So here I am
Back where it all began
With the simplest of words
Everything Ends

It started out so small
Not much bigger than my nail

I watched it grow
And over time, develop its beauty

So stunning and gentle
But like all, it had its faults

As I look closer
I see past the beauty
To the thorns, waiting to be used

And along with everything else
It slowly began to fade

And as it weltered
In its presence left a gift
Not much bigger than my nail

So I am
Back where it all began
With the simplest of words
Everything Ends
