Freedom Ride

by Ashleigh   Jul 14, 2005

On a day like no other
In this hot and thick summer
I feel my already dark skin fry
With a smile on my face, my coal eyes lie
"Oh it feels great!'
But to walk without a spie, is something to appreciate
But that color, those colored people we hate
So we let our thoughts and emotions ride
Because our dignity remains on the inside
No one can break a free man, a man without boundaries
A man is a man but his heart is his key
And to take his freedom, you might as well hang him on a tree
Because a dark man has his strength, love and pride
And will hold strong and never let his fredom ride
