I'm sitting here alone
Wondering if you're alright
Whether you have made it home,
Or walking through the rainy night

I want to let you know I care
That I have from the very start
You deserve to be treated right
I believe that with all my heart

I hate to think that you are cold
Hungry, Alone in the dark
I see you try to laugh things off
Though inside you are breaking apart

Maybe you would feel different
If you knew the world was not against you
That people like me will always be here
To try to help and guide you through

For it kills me to see you like this
I see you on a path to self destruction

Standing alone in the pouring rain

Maybe, maybe not you are in denial
