Don't think that you can change me,
If you question who I am,
Because, Even if you think you do,
You'll never understand.

You won't break off my broken wings,
Or rip my heart in two,
It doesn't matter what you say,
I will never listen to you.

You see, I chose to be myself,
A very long time ago,
I chose to listen to my own heart,
I thought that you should know.

My ways won't be switched for you,
Or turned upside down,
I will one day choose to smile,
I won't always wear a frown.

You hate my face,
You hate my smile,
You hate my words,
And you hate my style.

You hate everything about me,
That you don't understand,
You hate me for the reasons,
That I won't answer to your demands.

It's a simple little problem,
I deal with everyday,
It will never change,
Not by my actions or the words I say.

You hate me because I'm different,
Well, look at you! Your all the same!
You hate yourself, You hide it good,
And look for someone else to blame.

I'm willing to forgive you,
If you quit your ways,
You torment and torture me,
And expect me to not be fazed.

This is about the way I feel,
I know I may be strange,
This is about being real,
