The Roses & The Violets

by Amythyst   Jul 16, 2005

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
They are slowly dieing
Because of you,

The roses are bleeding
& the violets are pleading
They both cry silently
while taking a beating

Unseen the roses suffer,
Unheard the violets cry,
In agony they both linger,
In loneliness they slowly die,

So the roses are black,
& the violets are dead,
Now there trapt helplessly,
In the flower bed

From what has become a cliche you have drawn something original and insightful. Well written and expressed, though clear and rich in it's imagery it can also be a powerful metaphor, well done.

Wicked awesome. The way you were able to take the old rose/violet thing and completely change it around was cool.
