Want To Get Away

by Satine   Jul 17, 2005

This poem is to my mom, who is currently battling drugs and the dislikes of California, 10 hours away from me.
------------
Try not worry
Don't care to hurry
I'll always be here
I'll always be near

Love is always with us
It can't leave, it's contagious
If you don't believe in love
Then you should, cause its good for your blood

Try a new book
Don't be afraid to take good look
And start a new life
Good things will happen, leave bad things behind

Grow a new plant
Let it die, you shan't
Run across the beach, sing to the skies
No more reasons to make up lies

Forgiven you, I have
Now we can have a good laugh
Forget being bad
No need to be sad

When you want to get away
Run out into the day
Lay on the grass
Until silver turns to brass

Stay away from it all
Keep you free, I shall
You can tell everyone
That you're done

You've started out new
And they'll be proud of you
Just as I will be
Maybe now you can see

That bad is bad
Just as sad is sad
So be more joyful
Feel beautiful

I will love you no matter what
So open the door, don't leave it shut
Let me in
Let your new life begin
