I wanted to make it perfectly clear,
I see you and him forever as lovers,
You argue yes, you cry over him of course,
People think the guy who's worth your tears won't make you cry,
People are wrong not always right,
The guy who's worth your tears can make you want to die,
Love is a funny feeling,
Mysterious and unclear,
Nobody knows the truth of what it is,
And many people hide from it in fear,
Everybody's version of love is different,
Some think it's all smiles and romance,
Others see the dark side,
Believing it's just full of chance,
The chance you meet someone you really like,
Not believing you can be destined to be,
That one person's right for you,
Instead they believe it's caused by people scared to be,
Alone with no-one to hold them,
Nobody beside them as the pass away,
They rely on others to make them happy,
When you can only rely on yourself day after day,
I know your views are like mine,
We've found a middle ground,
We know love isn't perfection,
Love isn't getting upset and not making a sound,
Love is trusting, love is kind,
Love is sometimes hurtful and cruel,
Love is acting crazy,
Making yourself look like a fool,
Love is fun, love is unclear,
Love is trying to understand,
Love is supporting, love is honest,
Love is knowing when your down you have a hand,
Love is nerve racking, love is scary,
Love is above all a mystery,
Love is different things to different people,
Love isn't just holy matrimony,
Others may not understand you,
Others may not understand our views,
But try not to get angry at their lack of understand,
And understand they love you,
The hurtful things they say,
The way they put your love down,
You still don't let them get the best of you,
And for that you should smile and not frown,
Be grateful for their love and caring,
That they worry about your well-being,
Try to show them other views on love can still be right,
Even if it's not what they're believing,
I believe in your love,
I believe you know what's right,
No matter what happens I'll support you,
And I know you'll continue to fight.
