Breakup

by Gabrielle   Jul 19, 2005

It was 8 o'clock
Then sun was shining brightly
On her way to school

She was walking swift
He walked over to see her
The note they dreaded

He didn't want her
But she needed him by her side
They spot each other

Hate was in the air
Sadness was in his dark eyes
Mourning the moment

He gave it to her
It was done. He wandered away
She read it slowly

Over and over
She read the words she didn't want
Plop! The tears descended

No more him in her
Life. She stands alone, alone
No one by her side

The words slashed through her
Like a knife through soft butter
Like a blade through people

They ended up with
Other people in their lives
Will there be another time?
