Metaphorical...very nicely written....you used a lot of imagery..."Love is like a fireplace" and expanding on that - great job.

"Cold and dim,
your heart will be left in the fireplace.
waiting for the next match to be stroke
Igniting the fireplace a new
Fire rising from the ashes once again."

I'm not sure if it's right, but I think it should be stricken instead of stroke...plus I think it sounds better that way...

Thank you so much for commenting my poems. This poem is excellent, i love the metaphor you used 'love is like a fireplace' so true, however when that spark dies, the fireplace is not broken, it just needs a new piece of wood ;) keep that in mind, awesome poem tho!
