I feel dark and cold
sadness creeps over me
like a dark consuming veil
along with the feeling of dread
dread that i might become its newest victim
the newest victim of the shadow
creeping along slowly at first
then picking up speed
finally consumed lying in the dark cold night
slowly dragging on till the morning sun shows
shows its dagger towards the shadow
all is fine for the moments being
only lasting till the shadow returns
claiming its newest victim
but only we're safe now
were the only ones who shall never?
never be crept upon like a mouse awaiting
its predator slowly creeping behind
until finally the darkness and all its shadows
go leaving behinda different trail of
sadness and desperation
