Timeless despair

by SEAN   Jul 24, 2005

Come inside this head of mine
a casket full of useless times
memories here tragedies there
and an aging sense of despair

little by little i sip from my chalice
reciting those times of bewildering happiness
and further into the drink i go
deeper and deeper into my sorrow

and i cant comprehend
where you've left me now
was it really you or did you pretend
did you love me back then
or subtly condescend

but it doesn't matter now
at least i have something to think about
within this morose bitter mind of mine
where i have something to shout about
at the thoughts of something i want to like

i thought i liked
