Dignity

When you think of dignity
What comes to mind
Do you think about the soldier that left his home behind
Think of all the risks he took and the ones that he would take
Think of all the things he gave for everyone else's sake
His actions show a selfless love
That surely God sent from above
To defend his country with his life
to leave behind his children and wife
Remember who he was fighting for and what he had to gain
To jeopardize his life to live in constant pain
To fight for what he believed in and what he knew was right
He fought the brutal battle
And forever lost his life
