The Prophet

by Augusta   Jul 25, 2005

I discovered an amazing thing
Or rather, an amazing man
I content to just survive
But he's got a bigger plan

The thing is that he's special
He gets deeper with each breath
I just think of my own life
He sees more then life or death

And when he speaks, its poetry
His words flow like a song
He believes in greater good
And choosing right instead of wrong

The truth is that I love him
And I hang on to every word
And I encourage him as best I can
Cause I believe he should be heard

I believe things he foresees
And that he's destined to be great
Whether he's crazy or a prophet
I'm sure this is his fate

So I stand here, next to him
And be a person he can lean on
So he'll always have an eager ear
To ensure that he can dream on

If all goes well, one day he'll lead
And guide others with his path
He'll talk of life with his great gift
So that all won't feel His wrath

This man, he sees a better way
Society's wounds he wants to mend
But some fear change and may react
And bring his loved life to it's end

So I watch, both awed and scared
I watch him learn and grow
I watch him speak and preach his dreams
And pray Death's wind won't blow

*I know this was long, but hopefully worth the read? Lemme know!!*
