If Loving You is Wrong

by mary   Nov 7, 2003

They tell me not to love you
They tell me not to care
They tell me be careful
Because you’re never gonna be there
But if loving you is wrong
I don’t want to be right
I don’t care if I have to sneak out every night
Just as long as you’re in my life
I don’t care what they have to say
Because one day I’ll be your wife
They tell me you’re dangerous
But the excitement makes it adventurous
If “us” is so wrong
Why have we been together this long?
It’s not us, and everyone else in love
It’s just you and me
I know you love me
You know I love you too
But why do I always feel so blue?
I just want everyone to approve
But if they don’t
It’s just you and me
You’re the best thing that ever happened to me
And it’s a damn shame they can’t share that with me
