Lovebites

by Into the Aegean   Jul 26, 2005

I'm in the company of one,
Again and for tomorrow as well.
This room breeds comfort in it's intimacy.
I wish the same story could be said
About the company.

But it's my shame to tell you that
I can no longer recognise paths
I've walked down before, nor who with or the feet
That carried me so far away from
When the future was ours.

I'm not going to complain and
Waste breath explaining why the rain falls,
Why once again I resort to this old friend,
To cut away what I don't need
And wash it far away.

The lovebites up and down my arm say it all.
What reason does love need?
