Light of my life

by Andre   Jul 26, 2005

Woke up in the morning,
seems the world is mine,
but it is not so,
since you're my only sunshine.

light in the day is from dusk till dawn,
light in my life will never be forgone.
light in the day wakes you up and makes you see,
light in my life keeps me going and think of she.

they say you start living, once you're born,
but life seems difficult, and filled with thorn.
luckily a gardener came, and cleaned my path for hours,
for she ripped away the torn, and planted tones of flowers.

when the gardener didn't come,
the flowers used to wilt and die.
I had tried to plant down some,
but they needed her to grow up high.

for she didn't use water to make them grow,
and once, her secret ingredient she wanted to show.
she used to hug the flowers, the petals they would spread,
she used to kiss the flowers, they would pat her on the head.

flowers of the world, need day light to survive,
flowers in my mind, need the light of my life.
flowers of the world, die even if you take care of thee,
flowers in my mind, won't wilt if she's with me.

flowers of the world, need water to survive,
flowers in my mind, need the woman of my life.
