Frozen in time

by Andre   Sep 11, 2006

Dried out and left behind,
Shelter in nothing, here I am entwined.
Combinations and alterations,
Left aside, the usual complications.

Destined to ache, destined to fail,
This curse of evermore, seems to prevail.
No matter how hard, no matter how strong,
This curse of evermore, keeps getting me wrong.

Embarking on a time-led trip,
moving around in the same old ship.
Striving to places you haven’t seen before,
searching this world, door after door.

Being thought how to read and write,
being thought how to forgive and bite.
Finding aid in a trusted source,
finding grief in firm remorse.

The pillar removed, face seclusion,
this was your choice, not an illusion.
What you want or what is right?
Your collapse or your delight?

Stripped to pieces and left apart,
Gazing around, I’ve lost my heart.
I went astray, I’m frozen in time,
This steep obstacle I can’t seem to climb.
