The End Of A Past Mistake

by RapMastaT   Jul 27, 2005

As I woke today,
I found that feeling,
The one telling me in a way,
That it was all going wrong,
And I had to make it OK,
The last battle left me reeling,
But once again I'm getting back,
Up on my feet,
To fight every single day,
The cuts healing,
No longer do I see what I lack,
I only know one thing,
I'm confident,
Got everything to say,
And all this dealing,
Can no longer hurt me,
Where the words meet,
And hunt in a pack,
I know I'm innocent,
I've got no more game to play,
Knowing that numb feeling,
And what I can already see,
I wonder now about the heat,
And how to take the flack,
Rather than taking it in,
And lifes window of black tint,
Is finally giving way,
I am no longer kneeling,
No longer begging for mercy,
I can sense I'm running on empty,
But I'm filling up,
Taking the driver's seat,
Taking control of my life,
With hammer and flint,
Everything to pay,
But the hole is sealing,
Just got to move on,
From a slight hiccup,
And a little sleet,
Through the main strife,
I found a ray,
No longer keeling,
Going to make it,
Getting back my heart,
Even if it was beat,
And I turned to the knife,
I'm out the fray,
Getting back that feeling,
Making the pieces fit,
Heading like a dart,
Towards the heat,
Going to make it work,
No longer thinking,
Everything to give,
Nothing to lose,
Taken every hit,
Back to the start,
My heart and body meet,
No longer sinking.
