How It Will End

by Cathryn   Jul 27, 2005

Looks are shared,
And interest compared,
He smiles and me,
And my heart flies free,
When his eyes connect with mine,
I stare for a second while my eyes shine,
The color in my face is replaced by red,
Even though nothing has been said,
My emotions start to collide,
If for a second we end up side by side,
When you're near, I'm weak in the knees,
So won't you just tell me, please,
Am I the one you want to hold,
Of the one you'd leave out in the cold,
Do I cross your mind as you do in mine,
Or am I just another girl in line,
When you see me, does the world disappear,
Or am I just one extra peer,
Do you consider me a friend or more,
Or do you want me out the door,
Am I someone you could adore,
Or the one you'd like to ignore,
My eyes fill with tears,
As I think ahead to future years,
Will we still get to know each other,
Or will you run to another,
If my eyes still stare,
Are yours going to return a glare,
If I stand close would that be alright,
Or are you going to turn and take up flight,
Many questions will soon be answers,
And the time we have is what matters,
If the truth will come out,
There's less time to have doubt,
Of what could've happened,
Or how it will end.

I liked this. The whole poem was based on a one way or another situation. I thought at times it kind of jumped a little and lost it's flow. But in all, it was good.
