The Dancer

by Cathryn   Mar 27, 2006

The dancer moves: elegant, graceful,
The lights shine bright on the crafted stage,
Her face is happy, peaceful.

The steps are hard, skillful,
But with the orchestra, delicate,
The dancer moves: elegant, graceful.

Dancing in a costume of purple,
Enveloping the audience by her humble manner,
Her face is happy, peaceful.

The music that plays is light but forceful,
She spins and jumps and then rises on her toes,
The dancer moves: elegant, graceful.

The end i near, but all is blissful,
She completes her final moments in rhythmic movement,
Her face is happy, peaceful.

The audience applauds and are truly grateful,
All are united by the music and dance,
The dancer moves: elegant, graceful,
Her face is happy, peaceful.
