Love

by Shelbie   Jul 29, 2005

As confusion starts to build inside of me,
Not knowing decisions to make or how to break free.
Love is the only thing keeping me sane,
Not knowing what to do I must remain.

Remain inside of a tormented place,
Waking up each day and wanting to be erased.
Not sure who it is that really cares,
Knowing he holds love for me but doesn't know the burdens I bare.

Confusion isn't so hard when love is holding you still,
Wishing my life was a dream wishing it wasn't real.
What truly awaits for me at the end of this line?
Is it something to fight for or is it all a lie.

Love holds me still and love holds me sane,
All my stress has left me emotionally drained.
Doing what makes him happy so I dont get crushed,
Why live this way not knowing if my heart is shut.

Great work, you had some really powerful lines. Something that might help is just to break free from a structure and just let emotion guide the way. Eventually, you will have your own, unique style. Another thing is to be careful of your punctuation. You don't need set places. Join it all together as if it was a story ad then go through and punctuate where you need to end a sentence or start a new paragraph.
Remember the best poem is a unique poem that comes from the heart!
    Keep your head up!
    Luv kt
