Daddy, you used to be at my side
just a few years ago
but then you went back to school
look how far apart we've grown
you used to be at every event
every little fling
but now you just go back to work
you don't even stay for the whole thing
i'm not trying to make
you the bad guy here
but i just need relief
from so many years of tears
now you know why
i get mad at the slightest touch
but i want you to know, daddy
i still love you big much
