Down Today

Why is it
that im no longer inspired
to write a simple poem
and so ready to retire
is it because
even if i do write
the pain is still there
as i try to fight
or is it because
ive finally realized
my true talent isn't poetry
as i once fantasized
or is it because
i know hell never come back
no matter how much poetry i write
hes someone ill always lack
or is it simply
my feelings are something i cant share
hiding them forever
is something more fair
whatever the reason is
im sure i will find a new day
ill feel compelled to write
Just as if it had always been that way
