Thoughts on love

Love is…
Love is a funny thing,
So many times we tell someone
The words, ‘I love you’,
With out even knowing, they might not be true,

Yes there are the few among us
who for them it was ‘love at first sight’
but for those of us who were… not so fortunate,
we must live with the ever bearing pain,
of the term ‘heart break’,

yes this is the term that is used
after you have just been given
A rather nasty surprise by the person you ‘love’
Yet they no longer ‘love’ you back
Which I rather doubt they did in the first place,

And then you have the general 70%
Of all the people on this earth
That do eventually find Mr. or Mrs. ‘right’
And every one lives happily ever after
Or ‘not’

For you see then we have the 40%
of that 70%, that actually get married,
that go and get divorced!
And this then becomes a very…
Devastating time for anyone involved..
(I feel sorry for the parents!)

And then the phase starts ALL OVER AGAIN
Well for most people any way...
