They Wonder

by Mish   Aug 1, 2005

They wonder why I take so many showers and sit in the rain. They cant see the tears that fall or feel the threatening pain. They wonder why I'm not happy and don't smile. How can I smile when the one I love smiles at another. They wonder why I sit alone in the dark. The way I hide so they cant see the cut marks. They wonder why my face is pale and I'm so thin. They don't know that I overdosed again. They don't know because they don't ask. They don't want to see who is behind the mask. They're afraid of what they might find. Someone who's lost their mind. They're afraid of what the don't understand. Thats why they act like they don't give a damn. They wonder if there was anything they could have done. After they see the blood. After they see the gun.
