Cold Dark Alley

by Christine   Aug 2, 2005

I walk down a cold dark alley.
The rain pours down my face.
I hear a familiar whisper in my ear.
I turn to see but no one is there.
I close my eyes and sighed in relief as I turn around.
As I open my eyes I see a dark figure stand before me.
I stopped and stared.
The figure moved closer and closer to me.
To afraid to move or even speak.
I stood there helplessly.
It spook in a soft shivering voice.
"I love you. . . If I can't have you then nobody can."
He raised his arm and pointed at me with a black, shiny object.
I never heard it make a sound.
I felt a warm dark, red liquid drip from my heart.
I began to fall but someone caught me.
I look up to see if it was an angle that caught me.
But saw nothing but rain falling from the sky
I closed my eyes and far in the distance I heard. . .
"I love you. . . and I'm sorry.
